MY HARD WORK PAID OFF
Reporting that she was very happy because her hard work paid off, Karakaş stated that she wants to pursue her career in fashion. Karakaş said, “I used to express my emotions through drawing even when I was a little girl. I can say that I have always been interested in art. I applied for this competition online first. I was in the final 20 out of 210 applicants, and I was called for an interview in Denizli where they asked me why I preferred such a collection. I was one of the 10 contestants to pass the interview. I was successful at the competition and reached my goal. It made me very happy. I am most thankful to all my teachers who always supported me in achieving this success.”
RAISING UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS
Prof. Elvan Özkavruk Adanır, Head of IUE Department of Fashion and Textile Design, said, “Our students make us very proud with their achievements. We are working hard to raise and train individuals who are going to make a difference with their designs and projects needed by the fashion industry. Our students shine out not only in competitions in Turkey, but in international competitions as well. They represent our county and university successfully.
