IUE ARCHITECTURE – SALT GALATA 3RD MEETING
The educational outcomes of the three thematic studios of the fourth-year architectural design studio (ARCH 401), where architecture’s participation in the various dynamics that shape the world around us—technological, political, aesthetic, social are discussed, were reviewed at SALT GALATA under an interpretation of the semester's major theme: "Transit”.
Thematic presentations, along with examples of student work presented and discussed were intended to create a platform not only for debating these works, but also for problematizing the importance of the fourth-year studio within architectural design education. Presentations were held in two sessions presenting projects from three Units. In the sessions Merve Pehlivan and Cankat Seyret from Unite 1 presented their project of Time Regulation Institute, Ilgaz Elif Gönen and Bahar Soykan from Unit 2 presented their urban –suburban encounter works located in Güzelbahçe and finally Mustafa Sabırlı and Berfin Öztavlı presented Co-Working projects in İnciraltı to Prof. Dr. Ayşe Şentürer (ITU), Asst.
