'City and Design: Izmir Lab' for design and aesthetics
Izmir University of Economics (IUE), which works to improve city aesthetics, contribute to the creation of qualified living spaces, and revitalize idle spaces with environmentalist designs, has established a special platform called “City and Design: Izmir Lab”, which includes 10 academics. “City and Design: Izmir Lab”, which was established under the IUE Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, which has been carrying out design projects in many places such as Balçova, Alsancak and Urla, will support the development of the city with new projects and offer alternatives to local governments. IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Aşkar said, “IUE academicians, who will work in line with the vision and needs of Izmir, will contribute significantly to the aesthetic and architectural development of our city.”
