Department of Architecture took part in Good Design ___ 4

The faculty members and students of İzmir University of Economics, Department of Architecture took part in the exhibition and workshops program organized as part of the ‘Good Design’ week organized by the Izmir Mediterranean Academy for the fourth time this year. This year, the event, which focused on the theme of ’cycles’, had the Department of Architecture with both the graduation projects exhibition ÜTAS and the workshops held by full-time and part-time faculty members.
ÜTAS had three successful graduates from last June; Seyit Koyuncu’s “Iron Islands” project from Critical Practices unit, İpek Sena Gümüş’s “4 Elements Center” from Urban Practices unit and Alp Arda Gönenmiş’s “Sky-hub Hong Kong” from Technological Practices unit were exhibited within the scope of ARCH498 Graduation Project course.
In scope of the workshops program, which was coordinated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Gönlügür, the “Cyclical Objects with Sun” workshop run by Lecturer Michael Edward YOUNG and part-time lecturer Nazlı KÖK, “Net of Memories” workshop run by Lecturer Işık ÜLKÜN NEUSSER, “Design with Biomaterials” workshop run by part-time lecturer Ertunç HÜNKAR, and “Düş-e zemin” workshop by part-time lecturer Tuba Doğu took part in Good Design Week.
