“THE MOST POETIC DESIGN” BY ANIL NAYIR AND LISA FORTE
In the design workshop and competition based on the exchange of cultural values between universities from different countries, organized by University of Florence, Italy, third year Interior Architecture and Environmental Design student Anıl Nayır and his Italian partner Lisa Forte's lighting design "Binbir Gece" (One Thousand and One Lights) has been awarded "The most poetic design" mention prize by the international jury. The workshop which was realized by the participation of IUE Faculty of Fine Arts and Design and 10 different universities abroad was concluded by an exhibition in Florence composed of the selected projects' prototypes also including the works of Aslıhan Doymaz, Ceren Arlı, Efe Çukur, Hazal Erdoğan, Melisa Çakıroğlu, Özge Süzen and Selin Özkan from Departments of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, and Industrial Design. The international collaboration for the faculty was carried out by Lect. Hande Atmaca from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, while students from the Furniture Design course conducted by Stefano Pugliese, Cengiz Ultav, Hande Atmaca and Çağdaş Cantürk took part, creating a link between different cultures through design.
