STONE PLUS EXCLUSIVE TECHNICAL TRIP
It is of great importance for an interior architect to really see and touch the materials applied in educational projects, and get detailed information about them. In which ways and circumstances the materials are suitable to be used is needed to be comprehensively known.
Within the scope of the course Interior Detailing, a visit to the company store, in Torbalı, of the Stone Plus was made on the 20th of December 2016, Tuesday. The students found the opportunity to get to know marble, a natural construction material that they will absolutely utilize in their future projects, better.
During the visit, students became closely acquainted with a variety of marbles which are extracted from different regions, and their attributes. They received valuable information on how marble is cut, attached, decided to be used on a floor or a wall. They also learnt how furniture such as desk, coffee table, and other products such as bowls, pots etc., made of marble are produced as well. Moreover, how marble comes into existence in the nature, is extracted from the ground and is put into the last form finalized in interiors are told to the students.
