Li Han, obtained a Bachelor in interior design from Tongji University (China) in 1993 and a Master’s degree in design studies from University of Wisconsin – Madison (USA). After finishing her undergraduate study, she then worked for Beijing Institute of Architecture and later moved to Singapore and worked there for various design firms as an interior designer. During her graduate study, she was awarded the Best of Sudent competition by IIDA (International Interior Design Association) – Wisconsin Chapter. She is currently an assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, the school of the Arts in Qatar. Her research interests include Sustainability in furniture design, Chinese cave house interiors and sustainable living, and manual and digital media in design education
