Lak Lak: Spring 2018
Organised by our volunteered students since 2012, the first Lak Lak event in 2018 was held on May 7th to bring brief presentations.
5 people, introduced by the MCs Nermin Sena Ozger and Toros Mutlu, presented their creative ideas and experiences in 20 seconds per each of the 20 slides, similar to the format known worldwide as "Pecha Kucha". Onurcan Cakir brought his project Muziksiz Mekanlar (Places Without Music) to the audience's attention, Hugh David Clarke of the department of architecture performed a healing piece of music through his classical guitar, Our part-timer Ceren Bulut Yumrukaya narrated an interesting story about how the cabinets evolved in their function from keeping to exhibiting throughout the history. While one of our more recent graduates, Erkam Dogrusoz, shared his extraordinary professional experiences right after his graduation, the older graduate Mert Tavli presented on his passion for riding motorbikes and the metaphor of riding horses.
